What to Expect
Please note that Lucile and the Haven follow Mountain Standard Time. The main house is a communal space where guests are welcome to enjoy the kitchen, living room, library, cribbage table, movie room, and deck.
Coffee, tea, and well water are always available in the main kitchen. Guests may use either of two house refrigerators and prepare meals in the main kitchen. When fresh vegetables, fruit, and eggs are available, guests may help themselves. The downstairs project kitchen may be used for cleaning fish and any gear. Everyone uses the house, so please clean up after yourself.
A storefront of local homemade goodies and herbal remedies is downstairs. The deck and koi pond offer quiet places to relax and enjoy a meal. There are many garden and patio spaces with tables and chairs, and the Hecate Labyrinth by the river is a community space.
Sheep wagons and vintage trailers have linens and a chamber pot or compostable loo nearby. Two outhouses are located beside the driveway, and toilets and showers are available in the house. When the weather is cool and we are out of fire season, we can provide a wood-fired sauna that includes a water tank for bathing. One sauna is included in spring and fall retreat bookings. Otherwise, we request advance notice and a $25 contribution for wood and fire-tending,
We ask that you please leave your dog at home. With carefully-planted gardens, chickens, and other guests, we have had numerous problems with dogs and are grateful for your cooperation.
Due to water hazards and fragile objects in the house, the Haven is only suitable for older children and adults.
When arriving for an event, please arrive early enough to get settled in. Remember event times are MST. Parking is limited, so carpooling is recommended.
Our intention is for guests to relax, learn, have fun, and restore something needed. We welcome any questions and feedback to support your experience.
