img-5403We get it. We write ourselves every day. We are each working on our own book, learning from the common themes of resistance, blocks, uncertainty, finding time, and surrender to the process. We understand being motivated by the unquestioning desire to write and create.

Be supported this weekend with optional sessions of yoga asana, meditation, and sauna. Use the spring warmth of Mavens’ Haven and Lucile to walk and find inspiration. Receive healthy homemade meals, time to reflect, and best of all, quiet time to write.

Special Bonus: meals by published author Darcy Williamson, happy to share easy tips about self-publishing your books.

We’ll open Friday at noon with introductions, agreements, and lunch. The weekend will proceed with short group sessions on writing and creativity followed by dedicated individual time just to write. Renée and Tracey will be available throughout the weekend for focused one-on-one feedback, discussion, and editing.

The retreat will conclude Monday lunch.  See special add-on options to remain for personal writing time and/or receive further support. Leave with a plan, structures, and accountability from the cohort. See full working itinerary below.

Tracey is a dedicated teacher and guide who loves sharing her knowledge and passion with others, particularly when it relates to story and creativity. For the past 10 years, Tracey has served as the director of the McCall Arts and Humanities Council, where she acts as a relentless advocate for the power of imagination and develops programs that support individual creativity. While helping community members “flex their imaginations,” Tracey also writes extensively to share MAHC’s story and work. Tracey enjoys creative writing, as well. She has written two short plays that were produced at the Seven Devils Playwright Conference in McCall, enjoys writing poetry, and is currently working on a novel. She holds an MS in Folklore Studies from the University of Oregon and has been engaged in a life-long love affair with myth.
