Change up your winter scenery with a culinary and healing escape to Mavens’ Haven on the cusp of spring. Emerging flower bulbs and returning birdsongs will welcome you to the River. Come relax and rejuvenate your body, mind, and spirit. Let Chef Amy nourish and pamper you with delicious creations from the Havens’ winter garden and pantry. Renée will facilitate restorative yoga nidra, sacred sauna, and Thai massage.
Lodging may be reserved and purchased from the Haven, the Lucile Guesthouse, and the Steelhead Inn. Details at the end.
Please arrive at Mavens’ Haven Friday between 3 and 4 pm MST to get settled. Retreat begins promptly at 4pm and finishes Sunday at 2pm.
Please bring personal hygiene items, water bottle, optional bathing suit or toga for sauna, comfortable clothes for sessions with Renée, and formal dress for Saturday Dinner.
We will provide coffee, teas, Haven herbal beers, and Port for Saturday night. Guests are invited to bring additional beverages as desired.

MAVENS’ HAVEN ACCOMMODATIONS $50/night, first come, first serve:
Off the grid SHEEP WAGON with queen-size bed, wood heat, solar lanterns, chamber pot or compost loo. A shower is available in the house, and the sauna will include bathing. Your wood stove will be lit and banked for the night by a Mavens’ Haven apprentice.

Chef Amy discovered her talents and passion for healthy food shortly after moving to California from Idaho. Being surrounded by the bounty of fresh and local ingredients, she embraced food and taught herself the benefits of clean, whole food eating. In 2004 Amy’s Whole Food Creations was born and a culinary dream set into reality. With a Certification in Food Safety and Preparation as well as a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Idaho, she has provided nutrition and lifestyle consultation to numerous clients. She is a 2008 Harvest Fair award winner and has been personal chef to prestigious wineries and private clientele. Amy is currently the Executive Chef at a local, award-winning catering company. She specializes in alternative and restrictive diets such as gluten-free, dairy-free, raw food preparation, vegan and vegetarian cuisines.
Renée Silvus taught high school English for fifteen years and has offered healing bodywork and massage in McCall since 2005. She recently completed a Whole Health Educator™ and Coaching program with the National Institute of Whole Health along with facilitator training from Authentic World San Francisco and the Integral Center Boulder. She has created Holistic Health & Healing to offer coaching, health education, community-building games, and retreats.
